Job summary

Metric Geo, in partnership with a market-leading general contractor, seeks an experienced Estimator to develop estimates for bridge, highway, railway, airport, dam, tunnel, and transit projects across the country.

Reporting to the Vice President of Estimating, you will read proposals, perform quantity take-offs, and prepare unit price and lump-sum bids using cost software such as HCSS. Requires 10+ years in heavy civil estimating and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field.
• 10+ years of relevant estimating and project management experience.
• 5+ years of experience estimating for heavy civil projects.
• Experience with projects over $100M in value.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates for bridge, highway, railway, airport, dam, tunnel, and transit projects.
• Read, analyze, interpret, and understand contract proposals, drawings, and specs.
• Self-perform or direct others in quantity take-off for unit price and lump-sum bidding.
• Analyze scopes of work and create unit price estimates in a project cost software (e.g., HCSS).
