Job summary

Clark Construction Group seeks an experienced Estimator to support San Francisco Civil operations. You will prepare budgets and bids, quantify labor and materials, and review bids to ensure complete project costings.

The role requires leading with Subcontractors to develop full scopes and driving competitive, profitable bids. Key duties include analyzing drawings, developing estimates for multiple divisions, and coordinating with the estimating/preconstruction team to achieve Clark’s standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field preferred.
• 3-7+ years of heavy civil estimating and cost control experience.
• Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid, Excel, Bluebeam, AGTek, Building Connected.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Detail-oriented, technically sound with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimate for projects under various delivery methods.
• Develop complete estimates for Divisions 3 (Concrete), 5 (Miscellaneous Metals), 6 (Rough Carpentry), 31 (Earthwork and Support of Excavation), 32 (Exterior Improvements) and 33 (Utilities).
• Solicit Subcontractor and/or Vendor quotes and evaluate them for scope and qualifications.
• Lead meetings with Subcontractors to develop complete scopes and discuss strategy.
• Perform risk and contract management responsibilities as required on bids.
