Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Civil Estimating Manager to bolster our Water Civil preconstruction team. The role involves estimating for earthwork, sitework, yard piping, and GMP development on water and wastewater projects nationwide.

Offices in the Phoenix, Dallas, or St. Louis regions may host duties, with leadership in civil estimates for CMAR and Design Build contracts. You will perform quantity take-offs, develop cost models, review bids, and present estimates

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering, with at least 5 years of estimating/design/field management experience.
Experience in civil construction and water/wastewater projects preferred.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and geotechnical reports.

Responsibilities

Develop or manage civil cost models and GMP estimates for CMAR and Design Build projects.
Perform quantity take-offs.
Assist with final estimate presentation for owner.
Collaborate with engineers to influence project design.
Build relationships with subcontractors, vendors and clients.
Review project documents for value engineering suggestions and alternative pricing.
Communicate scope of work, materials, and schedule requirements.
