Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. in New York City seeks a Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer/Project Manager to lead design and project delivery with a focus on stormwater and regulatory compliance. Strong client relationship-building and a solid track record in environmental engineering are expected.

The role emphasizes managing budgets and schedules, QA/QC, health and safety, and cross-selling TRC services while delivering high-quality environmental solutions for complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of civil/environmental engineering/consulting experience.
• Experience with stormwater design, permitting, inspection in NYS/NYC.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER + annual refresher; 8-hour supervisor.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform design work.
• Develop and track budgets, scopes and schedules for regulatory submittals and other documents.
• Work well with dynamic project teams.
• Perform QA/QC of deliverables and implement quality procedures.
• Prepare and review technical documents, reports and engineering designs.
• Develop rapport and positive relationships with clients and employees.
• Prioritize health and safety.
• Maintain a billable hour utilization target.
• Cross-sell TRC services and increase business.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities and proposals.
