Job summary

Salas O’Brien is seeking a Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer to serve as the technical lead for the Fed-Florida Business Unit projects. The role covers civil site design, water resource management, environmental assessments, and construction management across the US and beyond.

Responsibilities include ensuring design quality, adherence to PM and QC standards, and potential EOR/Design Lead duties. Travel up to 25% is required, with a base compensation aligned to location and experience.

Qualifications

• BS Civil Engineering degree from ABET-accredited program.
• 8+ years of professional Civil Engineering experience.
• PE Certification is required.
• Knowledge of ASCE, AWWA, FDEP, ICC, ASTM, UFC codes; LEED/FBC/IBC knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as overall technical lead for Fed-Florida projects.
• Perform civil site design, water resources planning, permitting and environmental assessments.
• Oversee design quality and ensure compliance with SOW, codes and standards.
• Support business development and proposal activities as needed.
• Mentor interns/new hires and contribute to training programs.
