Job summary

Salas O'Brien is seeking a Civil/Environmental Engineer for the Fed-Florida Business Unit, with responsibilities spanning civil site design, water resource planning, and environmental permitting across the US and international sites. Qualifications

• BS Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of professional Civil Engineering experience.
• EIT preferred; PE certification within 1-2 years required.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
• Working knowledge of codes: ASCE, AWWA, FDEP, ICC, ASTM, UFC; prefer FBC/IBC, USGBC LEED.
• Experience with Civil3D, AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam Revu or similar drafting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design engineering documents (plans, specs, calculations) for facility maintenance, repairs and new construction.
• Develop cost analyses and material take-offs for various building types and site infrastructure.
• Perform construction management for ongoing projects.
• Maintain project documentation and communicate with clients, contractors, and teams.
• Support quality control and adherence to project management plans.
