Job summary

Salas O’Brien in Merritt Island, FL seeks a Civil/Environmental Engineer to join the Fed-Florida Business Unit. You will work on civil site design, water resources, and environmental permitting, contributing to design documents and cost analyses for U.S. and international projects.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, 5+ years of experience, and EIT; PE within 1–2 years is preferred. Travel up to 25% is expected with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS Civil Engineering degree required from an ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of professional Civil Engineering experience.
• EIT Certification preferred; ability to obtain PE Certification within 1-2 years required.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
• Should have working knowledge of the ASCE, AWWA, FDEP, ICC, ASTM, and UFC codes; with a preference for knowledge of the FBC, IBC, USGBC LEED and AFMAN/SSMAN requirements.
• Experience with Civil3D, AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam Revu, or other modeling/drafting software is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and documentation for civil site projects and water resource tasks.
• Support project development from concept to construction and manage cost analyses.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure quality control.
• Coordinate with EOR, Design Lead, and Project Manager.
