Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager based in Florida to lead master planned communities and residential land development from concept through construction. A Florida PE is required, with 5–10 years of project management experience in civil engineering, and a track record of managing complex, multidisciplinary projects.

The role offers leadership opportunities, involvement in business development, and collaboration with engineers, planners, inspectors, and project teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
  • Active Florida PE license required (EIT with leadership considered).
  • 5-10 years of project management experience in civil engineering.
  • Strong experience with residential land development from entitlement through construction.
  • Master Planned Community development experience highly preferred.
  • Experience budgeting, profitability analysis, invoicing, and AR management.
  • Proven ability to coordinate permitting with governmental agencies.
  • Experience preparing proposals, scopes of work, and schedules.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor staff; strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead civil engineering and land development projects from concept through construction certification.
  • Manage master planned communities and residential development projects.

  • Direct due diligence and feasibility studies for development opportunities.
  • Coordinate concept planning with in-house planning teams.
  • Supervise multidisciplinary project teams and oversee execution.
  • Manage permitting and approvals with local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Coordinate with construction inspection personnel to ensure timely completion.
  • Build and maintain client relationships and support business development.
  • Market engineering services through networking and client engagement.
  • Manage project financial performance, invoicing, and AR.
  • Mentor junior staff and assist with recruiting and team development.

Job Details

Salary: $125,000 - $175,000 per year

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Lead civil engineering and land development projects from concept planning through construction certification

Qualifications - Needed
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • Active Florida Professional Engineer (PE) License required (EIT candidates with demonstrated leadership and management experience may be considered)
  • Minimum 5-10 years of Project Management experience within Civil Engineering
  • Strong experience managing residential land development projects from entitlement through construction completion
  • Master Planned Community development experience highly preferred
  • Experience with project budgeting, profitability analysis, invoicing, and accounts receivable management
  • Strong background coordinating permitting and approvals with governmental agencies
  • Experience preparing project proposals, fee estimates, scopes of work, and schedules
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Demonstrated success maintaining client relationships and contributing to business development efforts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
