Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Civil/Environmental/Mechanical Engineer to design site layouts, grading, hydraulics, and water systems with leadership on complex projects in the United States. You will review designs for regulatory compliance, support proposals, and mentor junior staff as you contribute to project success.

The role requires a PE license and at least 7 years of related experience, with domestic and international travel as duties demand.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Professional engineering (PE) license and 7 years of related experience.
Some travel may be required; frequency depends on duties and projects.
Equivalent additional directly related experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

Reviews draft designs for compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
Ensures firm policies and practices are followed on all designs.
Meets with current and potential future clients to review their needs and design requirements.
Collaborates with sales staff to create proposals in response to RFPs and reviews draft proposals for compliance.
Provides technical guidance and training to junior staff and mentors them for growth.
