Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned Sr. Civil Engineer to join our team in California. This permanent role focuses on erosion control, hydrology, drainage, and structural engineering, leading complex projects and mentoring junior engineers.

You will design and review roads, sewer, and drainage systems, manage risk analyses, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with PMs, architects, and other engineers to deliver durable infrastructure. PE/EIT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience focusing on erosion control, hydrology, drainage, EIT/PE.
• PE license or EIT certification.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HydroCAD.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating the design and implementation of civil engineering projects from conception to completion.
• Developing and reviewing detailed designs for roads, sewer systems, and drainage facilities.
• Conducting risk analyses and devising mitigation strategies.
• Implementing erosion control measures and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Applying hydrology and drainage knowledge to water management solutions.
• Collaborating with PMs, architects, and other engineers for project success.
• Mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Staying updated with industry trends and regulations.
• Preparing detailed reports and presenting updates to stakeholders.
