Qualifications

• Current registration as a Licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois OR current registration as a Licensed Structural Engineer in Illinois.
• Six years of experience in civil engineering.

Responsibilities

• Directs the research and development of structural policies, standards, and special provisions.
• Develops and maintains construction cost and time estimates of structures for utilization by FHWA and design staff.
• Monitors and implements revisions to final structure project assemblies in liaison with the central bureau.
• Directs the development of special provisions for new products, materials and design techniques for structures.
• Directs maintenance and updates of the Bridge Manual, Culvert Manual, and Seismic Manual.
