• Current licensure as an Illinois PE or Illinois Structural Engineer.
• Six years of civil engineering experience.
• Ability to manage policy development and cost estimation.

Responsibilities

• Directs the research and development of structural policies, standards, and provisions.
• Develops and maintains construction cost and time estimates for structures.
• Monitors and updates the Bridge Manual and related documents and policies.
• Directs the development of special provisions for new products, materials and design methods.
• Manages staff within the Bridge Design Section to ensure a competent team.
