Job summary

The City of Leander is seeking a senior civil engineer to review and approve complex site and subdivision plans for drainage, transportation, and utility infrastructure. The role supports planning, design, and construction of city projects and requires coordinating with diverse stakeholders.

Candidates must hold a BS in Civil Engineering and a Texas PE, with at least six years of civil engineering experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college.
Minimum of six (6) years of civil engineering experience.
Licensed in Texas as a Professional Civil Engineer (PE), or able to obtain TX license within six months.
Valid Driver’s License; approx. 20% driving time in a City vehicle.

Responsibilities

Review and approve engineering site and subdivision plans, and plats for drainage, transportation, or water/wastewater infrastructure.
Assist in planning, design, and construction efforts for City infrastructure projects.
Interact with a wide variety of individuals, companies, and organizations while managing multiple projects under limited supervision.
Utilize GIS, AutoCAD, and traffic analysis tools as part of daily tasks.
