Job summary

Azsce is seeking a Civil Engineer to perform advanced reviews of civil and traffic engineering projects in Arizona. You will oversee and coordinate moderately complex engineering plans, mentor junior staff, and interact with developers and the public to provide technical guidance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and an EIT certificate with a valid Arizona driver license. Office and field work are involved, with emphasis on accuracy and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and two years of civil or traffic engineering design/review experience in land development.
• Arizona Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certificate required at time of hire.
• Arizona Driver License required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Review all phases of civil and traffic engineering plans and cost estimates and enforce codes and standards.
• Mentor junior engineers or inspectors as assigned.
• Review traffic impact analyses and drainage studies; recommend design solutions.
• Provide technical information to developers, contractors and the public.
• Prepare and maintain engineering files, records, and audit materials.
• Attend meetings related to applications and departmental activities.
• Perform site inspections to assess drainage, roadway alignment, and environmental concerns.
