Job Description

Dewberry has a great opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer Technical Lead in our Orlando, FL office. You will be part of a strong site civil team that provides comprehensive services to a wide variety of clients. We’re looking for someone with a strong background and working knowledge of drainage and utilities modeling, who enjoys mentoring and training engineers, has good rapport with public agencies, and a successful track record in engineering and construction.

Typical projects involve site civil design for energy, commercial, residential, higher education, and industrial site development projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design for site civil projects including grading, roadway design, stormwater management, sewer, water, and reuse modeling.
• Review and assist with engineering plans, calculations, reports, and quality control.
• Assist with scope and fee determinations.
• Lead training and mentoring of staff.
• Coordinate design review, permitting, and client communication.
• Review shop drawings and assist with RFIs.
• Represent Dewberry with city, county, state, and federal agencies.

Required Skills & Experience

• BSc in Civil Engineering.
• Florida PE license required.
• 10+ years in land development design and construction.
• Experience in higher education and/or energy markets is a plus.
• Technical expertise in design team leadership.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Microstation and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Water Gems, Sewer Gems, and ICPR.
