About the Role

Our client, a reputable civil engineering firm, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with expertise in structural design to join their team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape . This role is central to the design and oversight of a variety of structural projects, including commercial buildings, bridges, and industrial facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading design teams, ensuring the structural integrity and safety of projects, and liaising with clients and contractors. You will play a key part in the development and implementation of critical infrastructure within the Eastern Cape . The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in structural analysis software, and a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions. Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in Structural Engineering. A Master's degree is advantageous. A minimum of 7 years of experience in structural engineering design and project management. Professional registration as a Pr. Eng with ECSA is required. Proficiency in structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, or similar. Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) for design and drafting. Strong knowledge of material properties, structural mechanics, and construction techniques. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure. Must be based in or willing to relocate to Queenstown, Eastern Cape .
