Job summary

SMMA seeks a Civil Engineer to join its Site Design team. You will work with senior staff through all project phases, coordinating with multiple design disciplines and exposing you to a variety of project and client types. The role may be based in Cambridge, MA; Providence, RI; or Manchester, NH offices.

You will contribute from concept design to construction documents and during construction administration, including environmental permitting at federal, state, and local levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8–12 years’ experience.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer or working towards registration.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Hydrocad and MS Office.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading the development of site plans for land-development and building projects.
• Designing stormwater management and utility systems.
• Preparing site permitting applications and reports.
• Overseeing construction administration activities.
