Position Overview

We are currently looking to add a dynamic Senior Engineer to our passionate team of Civil Engineering and Surveying professionals. Responsible for the project management and design of residential and commercial land development projects, stream and environmental restoration projects, and various utility projects.

Essential Functions

  1. Must be client-focused and team-oriented.

  3. Must have good time management skills and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  4. Assist in the entitlement process with conceptual and preliminary layouts.
  5. Assist in the planning and design of land development, stream restoration, and utility projects.
  6. Design storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, and grading plans.
  7. Prepare Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans per regulations.
  8. Conduct design calculations including stormwater management plans.
  9. Prepare engineering plans for regulatory compliance.
  10. Develop contract documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
  11. Prepare as-built plans for final approvals.
  12. Manage projects through permitting and regulatory compliance.
Competencies
  • Problem Solving/Analysis: Ability to make independent decisions based on sound engineering judgment and experience. Apply knowledge to various assignments.
  • Technical Capacity: Advanced experience with stormwater regulations, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydraflow Civil 3D or similar, and HEC-RAS.
  • Communication: Provide guidance to junior staff, interact with internal and external stakeholders, attend meetings, and discuss engineering issues.
  • Collaboration: Consult with supervisors on complex problems, contribute to developing new techniques and procedures.
Supervisory Responsibility

Oversee junior engineers, interns, or technicians.

Work Environment

Professional office environment.

Position Type / Hours

Full-time, minimum 40 hours/week, flexible hours, possible overtime.

Travel

Occasional local day travel; no overnight travel expected.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited).
  • 8-10 years of professional engineering experience.
  • Advanced AutoCAD Civil 3D experience.
  • PE registration or ability to obtain within 12 months.
