Position Overview

We are currently looking to add a dynamic Project Engineer to our passionate team of Civil Engineering and Surveying professionals. Responsible for the design of residential and commercial land development projects, stream and environmental restoration projects, and various utility projects.

Essential Functions

  1. Must be client-focused and team-oriented.
  2. Must have a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  3. Must have good time management skills and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  4. Assist in the entitlement process with conceptual and preliminary layouts.
  5. Assist in the planning and design of land development, stream restoration, and utility projects.
  6. Design storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, and grading plans.
  7. Prepare Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans per regulations.
  8. Prepare design calculations including stormwater management plans.
  9. Develop engineering plans ensuring regulatory compliance.
  10. Prepare contract documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
  11. Prepare as-built plans for final approvals.
  12. Manage projects through permitting and regulatory compliance.
Competencies
  1. Problem Solving/Analysis: Make independent decisions based on sound engineering judgment.
  2. Technical Capacity: Experience with stormwater regulations, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydraflow Civil 3D, and HEC-RAS (a plus).
  3. Communication: Provide guidance to junior staff and interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Collaboration: Consult with superiors and collaborate on techniques and procedures.
Duties

Work environment is a professional office setting.

Full-time position, minimum 40 hours/week, with flexible hours and potential overtime.

No overnight travel expected; some local day travel may be required.
