DC Department of Human Resources seeks a leader to head the Roadway Design Branch, directing project development, roadway and trail design programs, and complex transportation projects in the Washington, DC area.

The role requires a professional engineer (PE) license, a relevant engineering degree, and strong staff supervision. The incumbent will ensure regulatory compliance, manage schedules, and drive standards across projects.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent education/experience required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license and valid driver’s license must be maintained.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Roadway Design Branch’s project development and design programs, providing technical direction and managing complex transportation projects, studies, schedules, and operations.
• Supervise multidisciplinary staff and review project work for technical quality, regulatory compliance, and adherence to standards, policies, priorities, and schedules.
