Job summary

Silicon Ranch is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to support all civil aspects of our utility-scale PV solar plants. This role requires oversight of the civil design process, coordination across internal teams and external contractors, and field resolution of issues during construction.

Ideal candidates have a strong civil design background, experience with geotechnical and hydrology modeling, and the ability to travel up to 25% to project sites across the US. PE licensure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; PE licensure preferred.
• 6+ years of civil design experience; solar project experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Experience with permitting agencies and multidisciplinary design teams.

Responsibilities

• Review and comment on civil design deliverables for utility‑scale PV projects.
• Coordinate with internal project engineers, managers, and external EPC contractors and consultants.
• Lead design review meetings with contractors and AHJs; conduct site visits as needed.
• Provide timely, cost‑efficient solutions to legacy projects during construction and operation.
