Job summary

The City of Pasco is seeking an Engineer III to lead advanced professional engineering work on capital improvement and public infrastructure projects in Pasco, WA. You will manage designs and delivery for streets, utilities, stormwater, and facilities, with field oversight as needed.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering PE license, a bachelor’s degree, and at least four years of civil/public works experience, capable of sealing documents and supervising staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Four (4) years of professional engineering experience in civil, municipal, or public works engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee engineering designs, plans, specifications, estimates, and technical documents.
• Serve as project manager on medium-to-large capital projects; manage consultant contracts.
• Oversee construction-phase tasks and field reviews to verify compliance with plans and standards.
• Coordinate with internal staff, external agencies, utilities, consultants, and contractors.
