Qualifications

• 8+ years of civil engineering experience.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree; or 12+ years AE industry experience.
• California PE registration, or 12+ years AE experience.
• Ability to use AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
• Ability to use ESRI ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, or related GIS software.
• Proficient in PDF software such as Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Project management across civil engineering tasks and timelines.
• Manage workload of engineering staff and conduct performance reviews.
• Meet with clients to discuss work, performance, and future opportunities.
• Pursue and acquire new work with clients; write and review scopes of work.
• Negotiate scopes and terms with clients; prepare PS&E bid packages.
• Perform QA/QC and solve design problems using engineering calculations.
• Prepare engineering reports for site improvements, drainage, utilities, roads.
• Create project drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D; provide comments on PS&E.
• Keep teams informed of standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline and multi-office teams on project documents.
