Job summary

EMH&T in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer, PE to join our Transportation Planning and Design team. You will contribute to all phases of project development, from planning through preparation of plans for highways, interchanges, and drainage.

The role emphasizes mentoring, technical leadership, and collaboration with regulatory agencies and utilities to meet client needs on large-scale roadway projects and municipal programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation Engineering.
• Ohio licensure as a Professional Engineer.
• 8–10 years of civil engineering experience; ODOT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all phases of project development and plan preparation.
• Design or redesign of highways/roadways and interchanges; drainage design.

Job Description

EMH&T is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer, PE to join our growing Transportation Planning and Design team located in Columbus, OH.

You will have the opportunity to assist with all aspects of project development and subsequent plan preparation using drafting and engineering design techniques to meet our client needs. Typical projects involve design or redesign of highways/roadways, interchange design, drainage design, plan reviews, and coordination with public regulatory agencies and utility companies. You will be conscientiously mentored and will gain experience on a vast array of projects; including large-scale roadway design projects and city/township/county projects, offering a wide variety of scope.
