Job summary

Cogent Analytics seeks a licensed Professional Engineer (Civil) to lead the design, stamping, and delivery of land development and infrastructure projects. You’ll collaborate with project managers, surveyors, and consultants from concept through permitting and construction.

The ideal candidate has strong technical capability, decision-making confidence, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer (Civil) license.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with grading, drainage, and site utility design.
• Ability to independently manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience with land development and subdivision design.
• Familiarity with municipal and state-level submittal requirements.
• Strong written communication skills for client-facing deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and stamp civil engineering plans including grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout
• Interpret project specifications, engineering drawings, and survey data
• Coordinate with municipalities, agencies, and clients throughout the permitting process
• Perform engineering calculations and conduct quality control reviews on deliverables
• Provide technical guidance to project managers during project execution
• Participate in post-project reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians as needed
