Job summary

Arup in Chicago is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead site development and civil infrastructure projects, including data centers, utilities, and roadways across the Americas. You will manage a team of engineers and coordinate with clients, consultants, and agencies to ensure responsible, high-quality design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• PE license preferred.
• At least 6 years of civil engineering/site development experience.
• Experience with data centers is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, low impact development, 3-D utilities, grading and earthwork, roadways and accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of site development, utilities, roadway, drainage for science, industrial and technology projects.
• Lead site due diligence and master planning for data centers.
• Lead a team of civil engineers and subconsultants to oversee design documents.
• Coordinate with local agencies on land use and permit processes.
• Mentor team members and support business development.
• Provide construction phase engineering support and site observation.
