Job summary

Arup in Los Angeles or San Francisco is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead data center design and delivery. You will coordinate across disciplines, manage design schedules, and ensure adherence to codes and client requirements.

Ideal candidates have a US PE license (or ability to obtain within a year), 8+ years of data center experience, and strong BIM (Revit MEP) and power analysis skills. Mentoring junior engineers and presenting complex technical material to diverse audiences are

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional electrical engineering experience with data center focus.
• PE license in the US preferred with ability to obtain within one year of joining Arup.
• Strong knowledge of US codes, standards, and data center electrical system design.
• Experience with 3D BIM software such as Revit MEP.
• Experience with electrical analysis software such as PowerTools and AmpCalc.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design efforts for data center projects, ensuring adherence to client requirements and industry standards.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines for seamless project integration and deliverables.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables with project managers and clients.
• Present technical material clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Prepare and review work assignments, mentoring junior engineers.
• Deliver timely feedback and foster professional development within the team.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data center electrical systems.
