Job summary

W3Global is seeking a Senior Engineer in the Civil Engineering Department to deliver high quality design services for municipal and private projects. The role includes leading QA/QC, performing advanced drainage and water/wastewater calculations, reviewing both internal and external work, and developing construction contracts and permit documents.

You will mentor junior engineers and coordinate with clients and regulatory bodies to ensure compliant, timely outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed Engineer required.
• Proficient in performing complex engineering calculations (drainage, hydrology, hydraulics, detention ponds, storm sewer, water and sanitary sewer systems).
• Ability to review own work as well as peers for accuracy and feasibility.
• Lead QA/QC efforts and review client contracts to ensure protection and insurability.
• Mentor younger engineers in design and project management across multiple project types.

Responsibilities

• Lead plan reviews and serve as primary reviewer for complex designs.
• Develop written specifications, construction contracts, SWPPP plans and permit applications.
• Coordinate with clients and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and satisfaction.
• Prepare project schedules and manage project delivery through approvals at municipal, governmental, or private entities.
• Present at meetings with clients, staff and other consultants as needed.
