Job summary

Highlander Consultants is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer in Jacksonville to lead land development projects from concept through construction. You will design site grading, utilities, roadways, and stormwater systems, and prepare drawings, specs, and reports for commercial, residential, and institutional developments.

The role requires strong project management and collaboration with clients, architects, surveyors, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• PE license required or ability to obtain within two years.
• 4–10 years of experience in land development engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil designs for land development projects including site grading, stormwater, utilities, road design.
• Develop construction drawings, specs, and technical reports.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.
• Coordinate with architects, surveyors, and agencies.
• Prepare permit applications and respond to review comments.
• Manage multiple projects and budgets.
