Job summary

Heartline Staffing is seeking a Civil Engineer for Brambleton, Virginia. The role oversees commercial, residential, and mixed-use land development from design to bond release, with on-site field work and office coordination.

The candidate will manage budgets, schedules, permits, and stakeholder communications while ensuring quality and safety standards. A PE license in VA or reciprocity is required, with 7+ years of experience and strong leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• PE license in Virginia or reciprocity within 6 months required.
• 7+ years of land development oversight experience required.
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and amend construction drawings and contracts.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or Primavera required.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities needed.
• Field work ability and lifting 20–30 lbs required.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead land development projects from concept through completion.
• Develop, monitor, and manage detailed project schedules and reports.
• Manage budgets, resource plans, change orders, and contractor coordination.
• Evaluate design revisions and communicate changes to partners.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and agencies.
• Visit job sites regularly to monitor progress and address challenges.
