Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, specifically within the Construction industry.
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with stormwater and drainage systems.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to supervise a project from conception to completion.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and liaise with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
• Knowledge of construction, design, and cost estimation methodologies.
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop).
• A keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
• Ability to work with a team and independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential issues before they elevate.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and supervise construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
• Develop detailed designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
• Conduct feasibility studies, including site investigations, analysis, and reports.
• Manage and direct staff and project site activities.
• Inspect sites to ensure conformance to design specifications and standards.
• Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor.
• Test soils and materials for foundations and structures.
• Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications.
• Conduct traffic or environmental studies to identify problems and impacts.
• Design transportation or hydraulic systems and structures following standards using design tools.
