Job summary

CPH, a Top 500 ENR design firm, seeks a Senior Civil Engineer, PE, to lead our land development team in Panama City, Florida. The role requires a Florida PE or ability to obtain within 6 months and a BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.

You will manage design teams, develop action plans, evaluate vendors, monitor progress, and present updates to senior leadership. Competitive compensation and a generous sign-on bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• 3+ years of engineering experience with land development/site design projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida, or ability to obtain PE within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages the design team during the conceptual and development phases of projects.
• Develops detailed action plans and resource estimates for labor, materials, and timelines required to successfully complete projects.
• Evaluates and selects vendors based on technical competence, capabilities, resources, and financial stability.
• Monitors project progress, comparing actual performance and costs against established estimates, and recommend adjustments as needed.
• Partners with the design team to revise and refine project plans in response to challenges or changing requirements.
• Prepares and presents regular project status reports, including progress, risks, and financial updates, to senior leadership.
• Reviews and analyzes existing equipment, facilities, systems, and processes to identify opportunities for efficiency, quality improvement, and cost reduction.
• Collaborates with operations teams to troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Coordinate with project engineers across other locations to exchange knowledge, solutions, and best practices.
• Manage a staff of junior engineers and delegate work as needed.

Department: Civil/Municipal

Location: Panama City, FL

Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 / year

Sign-on Bonus: Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus!
