Job summary

KLJ is seeking a licensed Civil Engineer to lead project work across infrastructure planning, design, and permitting in Dickinson, ND. The role emphasizes data analysis, report generation, and collaboration with regulators, clients, and teams to ensure safety, compliance, and quality.

The successful candidate will bring 4+ years of post-education experience, PE licensure, and strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills to deliver effective, economical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 4+ years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and civil design.
• Professional Engineering License required.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles, design/build, and permitting.
• Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze data from sites, surveys, GIS data, and plans for project development.
• Perform professional civil engineering work and assess site conditions for conformance with rules and permits.
• Incorporate modeling techniques and design requirements for safe, functional infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners, and professionals to execute projects and guide construction.
