Job summary

KLJ is seeking a student with a strong interest in infrastructure to assist on engineering, surveying, and planning projects in North Dakota. The role involves data collection, field support, and preparing technical documents under supervision.

The candidate should be pursuing a related degree and have basic knowledge of engineering concepts. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and MicroStation is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection, research, and analysis for engineering, surveying, planning, and construction projects.
• Support field crews with surveying, construction observation, inspections, and site documentation.
• Assist in preparing plans, reports, maps, exhibits, and technical documents.
• Utilize software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, MicroStation, or other industry tools to support project development.
• Help collect and manage field measurements, GPS data, and survey information.
• Participate in site visits to observe project progress and construction activities.
• Assist with quality control reviews of plans, calculations, and project documentation.
• Support planning studies, feasibility analyses, traffic evaluations, and land development projects.
• Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, planners, technicians, and project managers on project tasks.
• Follow company safety procedures and project-specific requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
