Matrix Service Company is seeking a Civil Senior Engineer I in Houston, TX. The role focuses on developing deliverables for industrial site development projects, including design concepts, calculations, specifications, and construction drawings.

You will lead engineers and designers, interface with permitting bodies and utilities, and monitor project budgets and schedules. PE licensure and 6+ years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask under deadlines.
• Detail oriented and quality focused.
• Experience in industrial/commercial site development, roads/highways, drainage, water/sewer systems.
• Proficient in civil engineering software (HEC, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Excel, Word).
• Experience in rail layout/design and rail operator standards.

Responsabilités

• Develops design concepts, prepares calculations, writes specifications, and issues construction drawings.
• Interfaces with permitting agencies, rail operators, utilities and municipalities.
• Functions as Lead Engineer, supervising designers and staff, monitoring budgets and schedules.
• Performs engineer-of-record for civil/site scopes and coordinates subconsultants.
• Assists in preparation of proposals and technical reports.
