Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer IV to lead the design and execution of civil engineering scope for EPC power generation, renewable energy, BESS, substation, transmission, and industrial infrastructure projects. You will provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams across all project phases from concept to commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required or strongly preferred.
• Minimum 8–12 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
• Significant experience supporting EPC, power generation, renewable energy, utility, transmission, substation, or industrial infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading civil engineering scope on multidisciplinary projects preferred.
• Ability to travel periodically for site visits, field verification, and project activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design activities for power generation, renewable energy, BESS, substation, transmission, and industrial infrastructure projects.
• Develop and review conceptual studies, feasibility evaluations, preliminary engineering, and detailed design packages.
• Lead the design and analysis of site grading plans, stormwater management systems, drainage systems, erosion and sediment control plans, access roads, underground utilities, and heavy industrial site development.
• Develop engineering reports, technical studies, and design basis documentation.
• Lead civil engineering scope through conceptual design, detailed engineering, procurement support, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Manage civil engineering deliverables, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate with mechanical, structural, electrical, process, environmental, and project management teams.
• Identify and resolve technical issues while ensuring project objectives are achieved.
• Support project estimating, scope development, and proposal activities.
• Provide senior-level engineering support during construction and commissioning activities.
