The City of Concord, CA is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer (Construction Manager) in the Engineering Division of the Community Development Department. A PE license in California is required, with extensive experience managing civil construction from design through inspection.

This role oversees inspection teams, coordinates with city officials, and leads capital improvement project delivery with a focus on public rights-of-way and infrastructure such as streets, sewers, and stormwater

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in California.
• Five years of civil engineering employment experience, including directing engineers and support personnel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction inspection for private development and municipal capital projects.
• Provide leadership to the engineering inspection team and ensure compliance with standards, codes, and specs.
• Coordinate with City Council, Planning Commission, and other departments; prepare budget justifications and reports.
