Job summary

RH2 Engineering, Inc. seeks an experienced project leader to guide public-sector projects from planning through closeout. You will coordinate technical work, manage client communications, and ensure quality and accountability across stakeholders.

The role supports remote work from a client office or RH2 office, depending on project needs, with a focus on collaboration across multiple RH2 offices and disciplines. Strong PM and engineering background required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or higher in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Current P.E. license in WA, OR, and/or ID.
• Minimum of 15 years of transferable experience in public or private sectors.
• Experience in water, wastewater, transportation, environmental, and/or stormwater planning and design.

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with clients, review agencies, vendors, and suppliers.
• Act as a resource for clients' engineering questions (phone-a-friend support).
• Review plans, specifications, reports, computations, and drawings.
• Present at client, Council/Board, Commission and public hearings.
• Oversee field assignments and construction observation with project closeout.
• Update engineering standards and details.
• Coordinate work between multiple disciplines and departments.
• Prepare/review opinions of probable construction cost and project schedules.
• Assist with grant applications, compliance, and management.
• Prepare proposals, attend interviews, and prepare contracts.
• Interview, train, and mentor staff for client organizations.
• Review agreements, contracts, and consultant scopes of work.
• Assign tasks to RH2 or client staff; coordinate with teams across offices.
• Work collaboratively in-person and remotely with teams in multiple offices.
