Job summary

City of Austin's Capital Delivery Services Department seeks a highly skilled Civil Engineer to design, sign, and seal complex CIP construction documents and lead cross‑discipline project teams. You will prepare cost estimates, review permits, coordinate with contractors and public agencies, and ensure compliance with local and state regulations while advancing street, water, and drainage projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Design, sign, and seal design and construction documents for CIP projects.
• Oversee technically complex, high-visibility projects and programs.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies.
