Job summary

The City of Rialto is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead complex public infrastructure projects from concept through construction. You will mentor staff, manage consultants, and help shape the City’s capital investment strategy.

Reporting to the City Engineer, you will guide planning through closeout, ensure quality, schedule, and budget, and strengthen project management across departments. A PE license in California is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college with civil engineering major.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in California.
• Four years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience, including at least two years managing projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex public infrastructure projects from concept through construction.
• Mentor staff, manage consultants, and guide long-term capital investment planning.
• Coordinate engineering reviews with Planning & Building and advance CIP program.
• Improve project management practices and stakeholder alignment.
