Job summary

The City of Rialto seeks a seasoned Public Works professional to plan, organize, and coordinate capital improvement projects within water and wastewater. You will monitor progress, manage bids and contracts, and supervise staff to ensure timely delivery of complex initiatives.

Responsibilities include grant applications, interdepartmental coordination, and liaison with federal/state agencies. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and a California driver’s license are required; PMP is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning or related field.
• Three years of Public Works Construction experience; municipal government experience desirable.
• Possession of a State of California driver's license; PMP certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor Public Works CIP and related projects.
• Manage project planning, schedules, budgets and contractor performance.
• Oversee contracts, bid processes, change orders and payments to vendors.
• Prepare grant applications and coordinate with federal, state and local agencies.
• Supervise staff and collaborate with other departments and external partners.
• Develop and implement goals, policies and procedures for assigned programs.
