Job summary

Haley & Aldrich in Cincinnati, OH seeks a Senior Civil Engineer 3 to provide technical leadership on complex civil and environmental projects. This full-time role focuses on stormwater design, regulatory permitting, modeling, and preparing high-quality deliverables with Civil 3D and related tools.

You will mentor staff, lead project teams, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and maintain strong client relationships while aligning work with safety standards and company objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of related experience with emphasis on civil, environmental, and construction engineering-related practices.
• Professional registration or certification, as applicable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including verbally communicating and presenting project information to clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
• Applies emotional intelligence to achieve higher impact on project team and client communications.
• Proficient in the use and applications of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS.
• Broad civil and/or environmental design and contract package development experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in stormwater design, compliance, and permitting for industrial, energy, or similarly complex projects.
• Experience applying hydraulic and hydrologic modeling tools to support stormwater evaluations and civil design.
• Project management experience, including contributing to scope, schedule, budget, quality, and multidisciplinary team coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and mentor technical staff. (Non-standard)

• Demonstrate technical competence, knowledge of codes and regulations, and professional standards of practice to assigned tasks.

• Align project scopes with client objectives and regulatory requirements using codes and standards.
• Develop the technical capabilities of others and enhance overall performance.
• Lead stormwater design, regulatory permitting, and modeling for industrial and energy projects.
