Keystone Distinction Group in the Greater Boston area seeks a senior civil engineer to serve as the technical anchor and mentor for younger staff. You will lead site design from concept through construction documents on land-development and building projects.
As an employee‑owned firm, you’ll mentor teammates, oversee internal quality reviews, and ensure permitting and construction administration are executed with excellence.
After 10 or 15 years in site design, the engineering itself is rarely the hard part anymore. What wears on people is everything around it. The firm changes hands, the people you liked move on, and the work you pour in ends up building toward someone else's payout.
Our client is an employee‑owned design firm in the Greater Boston area. It is an integrated shop where architects and engineers work the same projects side by side instead of passing drawings back and forth. Because it is owned by the people who work there, you would hold a stake in the firm, not just draw a paycheck from it. The culture is the part they are proudest of, and it is genuine. People actually like each other and they stay, which is rarer than it should be.
The position is open because a senior civil engineer is retiring. That person was the technical anchor of the group, the mentor the younger engineers went to, and the go‑to resource for anything difficult/technical. Our client is looking for someone to fill that same seat: a technical expert who is a teacher at heart.
