Job summary

gpac is partnering with a successful Civil Engineering and Land Surveying firm in Michigan, seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their growing team. The role focuses on managing client relationships, project scope, schedules, budgets, and delivering site civil, municipal, and transportation projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualified candidates hold a BS in Civil Engineering, professional engineer license (or able to obtain within 6 months), 4+ years of experience, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 4+ years of experience in civil engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D.
• Experience with site design.
• Must be comfortable with client development.

Responsibilities

• Manage client relationships and act as the primary technical client contact on projects.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets and billings; coordinate with disciplines for delivery.
• Carry projects through to completion.
• Design site civil, municipal and transportation projects using AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Prepare site civil development plans (site/paving/grading/erosion controls/watermain/storm sewer/sanitary sewer) using AutoCAD Civil3D and other software.

Responsibilities

• Manage client relationships and serve as the primary technical client contact on projects
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets and billings for individual projects and coordinate with disciplines to ensure successful project delivery
• Carry project through completion
• Design site civil, municipal and transportation projects with the use of AutoCAD Civil3D
• Prepare site civil development plans, including site and paving plans, grading plans, erosion control plans, watermain plans, storm sewer plans, and sanitary sewer plans using AutoCAD Civil3D and a variety of other engineering software

Requirements

• B.S., Civil Engineering or related field
• PE required or ability to obtain within 6 months
• 4+ year's of experience
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D
• Experience with site design
• Must be familiar/comfortable with client development
