Green Key Resources in Boston is assisting a well‑established architecture and design firm in seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to oversee a major aviation and transportation infrastructure project, moving from traditional design to project oversight, construction administration, and client‑side coordination.

This role is PM‑focused, coordinating with clients, consultants, and contractors, while partnering with an outside design firm.

Qualifications

• Senior-level Civil Engineering experience; Structural Engineers with applicable infrastructure experience may also be considered.
• Strong background in roadways, underground utilities, and/or infrastructure.
• Construction Administration experience strongly preferred.
• Experience coordinating consultants, contractors, and complex project teams.
• Comfortable working directly with clients and participating in site meetings.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering oversight for a large-scale aviation/transportation infrastructure project.
• Focus heavily on construction administration, roadways, and underground utilities.
• Review and manage RFIs, submittals, and other construction-phase documentation.
• Coordinate directly with engineering consultants, contractors, and the client.
• Participate in regular site and client meetings.
• Review engineering deliverables and help identify and resolve issues during construction.
• Support overall project coordination, communication, and delivery.

A well-established, award-winning architecture and design firm in Boston is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to support a major, multi-year aviation and transportation infrastructure project. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced engineer who wants to step away from traditional design/production and move into project oversight, construction administration, and client-side coordination.

The firm is serving in a Project Management capacity for the public authority, while the engineering design is being handled by an outside consultant. Rather than producing the design, this person will help oversee its execution, working closely with the client, engineering consultants, contractors, and project team throughout construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering oversight for a large-scale aviation/transportation infrastructure project
• Focus heavily on construction administration, roadways, and underground utilities
• Review and manage RFIs, submittals, and other construction-phase documentation
• Coordinate directly with engineering consultants, contractors, and the client
• Participate in regular site and client meetings
• Review engineering deliverables and help identify and resolve issues during construction
• Support overall project coordination, communication, and delivery
• Serve as a technical resource while operating in a broader project management/oversight capacity

Qualifications

• Senior-level Civil Engineering experience; Structural Engineers with applicable infrastructure experience may also be considered
• Strong background in roadways, underground utilities, and/or infrastructure
• Construction Administration experience strongly preferred
• Experience coordinating consultants, contractors, and complex project teams
• Comfortable working directly with clients and participating in site meetings
• PE not required; this position does not carry stamping responsibilities
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of Bluebeam, Revit, Rhino, and Adobe preferred
