Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join our Fairfax, VA team. You will manage a full caseload across civil, business, and employment disputes in VA, DC, and MD courts, advising clients and appearing at hearings, depositions, and trials.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of litigation experience, a J.D. from an accredited law school, and active DC and Maryland Bar membership with eligibility to waive into Virginia. Strong writing and advocacy are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation experience with substantial federal and state court practice.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active District of Columbia and Maryland Bar membership in good standing.
• Eligible to waive into the Virginia Bar.
• Courtroom experience including hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Strong legal writing skills.
• Preferred experience in employment law, workplace investigations, business litigation, and/or labor law.

Responsibilities

• Own a full caseload of civil litigation, business litigation, employment litigation, and employment counseling matters across Virginia, DC, and Maryland state and federal courts.
• Appear independently at hearings, depositions, and trials — not someday, now.
• Draft and argue complex motions, including dispositive motions, with precision and without error.
• Handle non-litigation employment matters: counseling, contract drafting and review, severance, non-competes, and workplace investigations.
• Build and maintain client relationships and contribute to business development as the firm grows.
