Gross, Romanick, Dean & DeSimone, P.C., a team-oriented law firm located in the City of Fairfax, Virginia, is seeking a full-time associate attorney with 1 to 3 years of experience to join our active and diverse practice. The position offers the opportunity to work in a small, closely knit office under the guidance of three experienced lawyers. The candidate will be primarily tasked with handling civil litigation matters throughout the local courts of the DMV, including business disputes, landlord/tenant disputes, and creditors’ rights proceedings, with some criminal and traffic court defense. The candidate will also have the opportunity to work on transactional business matters, should that be of interest to the candidate. The position is ideal for a candidate seeking to gain substantial hands‑on legal experience with a wide variety of interesting and complex cases, while at the same time maintaining a reasonable work/life balance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Litigation, including the drafting of pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery documents, orders, and settlement agreements
• Court appearances in multiple jurisdictions
• Client intakes, communication with clients, and provision of routine status reports to the firm’s partners
• Training and support will be provided
• Management of an active caseload in a highly organized manner.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• JD from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in Virginia
• Reliable transportation for travel to Court
• 1-3 Years Experience as an Attorney
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• DC and/or MD law license(s) a plus or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire
• Ability to balance multiple matters and meet deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
