Job summary

Arion in Houston, TX seeks a Sr. Civil Designer to lead civil earthworks design for onshore facilities and site development. You will guide junior designers, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers, and oversee grading, drainage, and site preparation work.

The role requires 10+ years in civil design, proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and strong communication. Some field support and travel to project sites are possible.

Qualifications

• Bacheloric or equivalent in drafting/design or related field and 10+ years of civil design experience in heavy industrial projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, review, and verification of civil drawings for onshore facilities and infrastructure.
• Develop site grading, earthwork designs, and stormwater/drainage layouts.
• Prepare civil plans, sections, profiles, and design deliverables.
• Mentor junior/intermediate designers and ensure constructability of designs.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to support project delivery.
• Support field verification and design clarification to resolve issues.
