Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Civil Engineering Senior Project Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team on industrial/commercial land development, renewables, utility infrastructure, and/or mining. The role can be based in Raleigh, NC or Charlotte, NC as a hybrid office position.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills to lead and inspire a team, and experience managing projects across disciplines, budgets, and schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-disciplinary design, permitting and construction as a consultant.
• Ability to actively develop and maintain client relationships.
• Capability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization.
• Understanding of financial management of projects.
• 10+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Ability to target and generate new opportunities.
• Managing project execution including proposal development, project organization, subcontractor management, scheduling, financial management, health and safety stewardship, and delivery quality.
• Overseeing pursuits, designate the appropriate resources to projects, define client needs, address client concerns and suggest solutions to solve project challenges.
• Leading technical, cost, and scheduling decisions for interdisciplinary teams and driving customer value.
• Nurturing and growing client relationships.
• Supporting the achievement of professional staffs’ career goals.

Kleinfelder is looking for a detail-oriented Civil Engineering Senior Project Manager to join our expanding southeast engineering team. With growing opportunities in the region and a variety of clients, the ideal candidate will join our high achieving, fast-paced team. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team are valued attributes for this position. The project work will be multi-disciplinary in nature, but experience in traditional industrial/commercial land development, renewables, utility infrastructure, and/or mining is especially relevant.

This is a hybrid office role and can be based in:

• Raleigh, NC
• Charlotte, NC

Key responsibilities include:

Education/Certification:
