Job summary

Bohler is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead site design efforts in Delaware, overseeing grading, drainage, utilities, and permitting for complex projects. You’ll work with seasoned engineers and project leaders to ensure design quality, constructability, and regulatory compliance.

You’ll apply your expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology to deliver high-impact land development work, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with clients and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering is required or preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in land development design and permitting.
• PE license beneficial; EIT required or in progress.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites.
• Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses.
• Support project coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Perform hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and design software.
• Contribute to project budgeting, workload planning, and task coordination.

You’ll serve as a trusted technical resource for your team and contribute to the success of complex, high-profile projects across the state of Delaware.
